Our Philosophy
Our team – one of the primary factors that sets us apart – is not some random collection of mercenaries, but a bunch of friends who are all connected through Bob and who all have a passion for teaching and mentoring young adults. Each of us have successful careers, but we also wanted to be a part of something that made a positive impact on the next generation of leaders. So we came together to help young adults realize their goal of getting into a college that will help them to flourish and thrive.
As you can also see, we are also a diverse bunch, with a different set of lenses through which we view the world. Couple this diversity with our unique committee process, each student gets the benefit of our entire team, not just a single individual.

The second ingredient that makes us unique is our approach. Our process begins with the student working with Bob to brainstorm and draft the essays. Once the student and Bob are satisfied with the essays, we move on to the next step, which is an internal review of the essays by our Review Committee, a committee comprised of all of our other counselors. Each of the Review Committee members will provide their views and opinions on the essays. With that feedback, the student will work with Bob to iterate the essays until the student, Bob and the Review Committee are fully satisfied that the essays truly reflect the uniqueness of the student in an authentic way. This process allows for the student to work directly and intensively with a single counselor, and still benefit from the experiences and the viewpoints of our entire team.
With this approach, we believe that we can help the student hone and fine-tune their essays to have the following traits that will set them apart: authenticity, passion, punchy delivery, thoughtfulness and confidence.
We believe that each student is unique. We want to help bring out such uniqueness in a way that would leave a lasting impression on admissions officers. Because of this core belief, we do not believe in shaping a student into a certain mold that we think that an admissions officer might want to see. That is the reason why we do not offer class selection services or standardized testing prep services. We also do not recommend clubs, sports, and other extracurriculars that are “hot.” We want to present the student the way they are – unique and fascinating. We help to bring out those traits through our unique process.
Also, we want to foster a relationship with each student. Therefore, we cannot be not high-volume, and we will take only a limited number of students each year.
